passion

My passion is for innovation, connection, and continuing education. I love learning and I love growing in knowledge and wisdom. I love to do whatever I can to help people around me grow, as well. I feel that kind of growth compounds, benefitting everyone involved.

history

By nature, I'm a scatter brained day dreamer... right brain all the way. As technology has improved, I started stringing together various apps to 'supplement' my brain's left hemisphere allowing me to become more organized and balanced. Arriving at this balance has given me great joy. I have spent the past 10 years sharing this joy with my community. Now I move to make my own mark on software design.

Examples of Work

here are some of my favorite projects

Easy Recipe App

This was my final project at The Iron Yard. I dreamed of this app while frustrated in the kitchen, squinting at the tiny details of complex recipes. This app is designed to simplify workflow in the kitchen. I used HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bourbon, and Angularjs to make it.

the boys and girls club of central arkansas

My work with the Boys and Girls Club taught me that in order to be a good teacher, one must constantly be learning. Web design was one of those things. When I took over managing the organization's website template, it was a nightmare! I vowed to make an easier solution that looked good on any device. After graduating from The Iron Yard, I have begun working with them to make that promise a reality.

Kanis Skate Park

Kanis is a haven for Little Rock's misfit kids. My favorite thing about skateboarding is the sense of belonging you have solely on your decision to pick up a board and take your chances! This park and the people who built it hold a special place in my heart. I wanted to give back by building a site to connect everyone who benefits from the park.
